![]() Now that you are done Editing your SVG file, go cut and apply to your surface. That wasn’t so hard, was it! Congratulations!!! Now is the time to size it so you can then cut the image for your project. Once you have your SVG file edited like you want, Regroup the image to put it all back together. ![]() It really helps me find matching fonts fast. Remember to find the right font if you are matching fonts to use your Font Manager. Now that the unwanted text is gone, replace it with the text you want. Mine is grouped in more than one place, so if the text you want to change is still attached to the rest of the image, click Ungroup again till your text is ungrouped and free to move or delete. You can see how many layers are in your SVG. On the right hand side of the canvas is your Layers Panel. I haven't used Inkscape since writing the original answer, but this should work if a plugin is unavailable. ![]() You would save the svg file edited in notepad++, and then refresh/re-open the image in Inkscape to see the changes. svg is just a set of instructions on how to draw vector lines, and the file is text-based. The beauty of an SVG file is that it is created in layers and we can manipulate each layer. you can just use a text editor like Notepad++ to open the svg file.So just drag the bottom right icon either up or down. After we are all done you can size it to where you need it to be. ![]() Its not permanent, just so we can see it clearly. Resize your SVG file so we can comfortably work with it in CDS. It should now be on Cricut and all you have to do is click on it and then click Insert Image at the bottom right corner.
